The Commission is charged with the responsibility of protecting our cultural heritage.






The Commission is charged with the responsibility of protecting our cultural heritage.  It does this by having some control over the actions of some designated and historically significant private and public properties.

MEETS The 3rd Thursday of each month on the 3rd floor in the conference room at 115 West Main Street. Meetings start promptly at 4:00 pm.

The purpose of the Historical Properties Commission is to assists in the conservation of historic properties and promotes the use and conservation of historic properties for the education, pleasure, and enrichment of the residents of Lincoln County and the state as a whole.

9 members - 7 appointed by County and 2 appointed by City of Lincolnton.
