News and Information

A new version of the Food Code will be adopted October 1, 2021.  The training sessions below are for industry if you would like to learn about the changes.

The below info is for some industry specific trainings on food code adoption.  Feel free to distribute to operators in your jurisdiction.

The North Carolina Food Safety and Defense Task Force is holding two identical training sessions for industry partners on September 20 3:00-4:30 PM and September 28 from 9:00-10:30 AM.  These short meetings will provide an overview of the major changes, access to some training materials, and time for questions.  If you are not able to make either of these sessions, one will be recorded and available for future viewing.

If you have any questions about the training, OR if you have questions already about the 2017 Food Code that you would like answered during the meeting, please email veronica.bryant@dhhs.nc.gov.  We look forward to these sessions and hope you can join us!
