Envirothon

Event

The Envirothon is a competitive event for teams of high school or middle school students to compete in a natural resource knowledge and ecology field day against other high/middle school teams.

Resource subjects are:

  • Soils
  • Forestry
  • Wildlife
  • Aquatics
  • Current environment issues

Teams

The five-member teams will compete in the Southern Piedmont Envirothon in March or April at Catawba College in Salisbury.

The seven top scoring teams will advance to the State Envirothon at the end of April. The State competition is a two-day event held in Alamance County.

The State winner is eligible to compete at the National level.
