Conservation Field Day for Sixth Graders
The District coordinates and sponsors Conservation Field Day for sixth graders. The two-day event is held in September and all sixth grade students countywide attend. The Conservation Field Day is an opportunity to educate the students on the importance of our natural resources in an outdoor atmosphere. Students spend 15 minutes at a station. Each station will have hands-on activities, games, etc to get the students involved. Stations cover water conservation, soils, wildlife, forestry, agriculture and production ag.

- NC Forest Service
- NC Wildlife Resources Commission
- District staff and other agencies as needed
