Foreclosures

All sales are conducted on the front steps of the Lincoln County Courthouse at 120 Justice Drive, Lincolnton, NC. Please note that a deposit of 5% is required of the highest bidder by cash or certified funds the day of the sale. Real property sales must remain open for a period of ten days to allow for the filing of an upset bid. The upset bid must exceed the reported sale price by 5% or $750.00, whichever is greater. All upset bids must be made in the Civil Office of the Lincoln County Clerk of Superior Court. All questions concerning placing an upset bid should be directed to (704)742-7800, option 2. Once the upset bid period is over, the successful bidder will be required to pay the balance of the purchase price, as well as the recording fees and revenue stamps assessed by the Lincoln County Register of Deeds.
