How do I obtain a DD-214?: Contact the Register Of Deeds in the county that you lived in when you got out of the service. Be sure to have a completed SF 180 form and valid photo ID.

1. Does the VA pay for cremation or burial expenses?: The VA does not pay for crematory or burial directly. Any item or service obtained from a funeral home will be at the family's expense. Some veterans’ families may be entitled to a burial allowance, which may cover some of these expenses.

2. How do I enroll in VA Health Care?

For faster service, apply in person at the Salisbury VA Hospital. Be sure to bring your DD-214.
